Rants: Pick those balls off the floor first

Do you ever have a moment of pure genius? Where you say something so profound that you must bask in your own greatness well? Well I had that moment today. *pause so that the light of humility my shine down on me* There were a few men talking about saggy tittayballs, and I could sense women tensing up, and I blessed the world with my version of truth & reality....
.
...some of you men can swing those droopy ballz over your shoulders, but you
don't hear the ladies talking.

.
People we need to get over the idea that people need to have a perfect body to be sexy. NO ONE is airbrushed perfect in real life. And if they are guess what? They're either going to be completely F**Ked in the head or out of your price range/totally not interested in you.

Peace & Blessing.

Music: Syleena Johnson

Syleena Johnson - I Am Your Woman
.
.
.
I can't even recall the mental process that brought me back to this song. Digging in the mental crates is no joke!! I really did have big homes for Syleena Johnson when she first came, and I love this song. R. Kelly wrote/produced it back before we knew how gross his as way. So enjoy the flashback or maybe I hipped you to something new. :o)

Pimp C

Heaven's Rhyme Cipher Just Got Tighter
.

RIP Chad "Pimp C" Butler

I can't front, as a fan of rap music I had genuine love for Pimp C. Lyrically and flow wise he was always on point and did nothing but represent the south. Then as a personality in rap music, I love his, "I don't give a f**k, I'm going to speak my mind" style. No matter how out there or shocking one of his comments were there was always some truth and/or humor to be found. I'll miss what he added to the game. I used to love talking ish to people online and signing it Pimp C's personal secretary. Here's one of my favorite songs that Pimp C blessed.

Thanksgiving ReCap

I had half a mind not to do a Turkey Day post but here goes:

~ My old Jamaican uncle was harassed by a Gay couple on his flight. My uncle and the couple were seated in the same row and once they realized he was Jamaican, they as he put it, "began the most inappropriate public displays of affection" with the sole purpose of torturing him. All I could do was cut the tomatoes for the salad and not LOL in his face. Bless his homophobic heart. Btw his son is soooo geigh and in the closet!!!

.

~My mother was forced to call me by the "K" name, because this side of the family doesn't find the... lets say beauty in the "S" name. In fact they (grown ass people) pause, smile and/or giggle before saying the "S" name. :o) if you know the personal e-mail addy you'll understand.

~There was an under 35 side eye when my younger cousin decided to Crank that Soulja Boy at dinner.

^This same boy asked for a BATTING CAGE for Christmas. His mom said he write whatever he wants a piece of paper.bwhahaha Oh and the FULL Christmas List, this chile passed them out like flyers to a club. He's in his early teens so I'm blaming the hormones.

~ My older brother was the first to become clearly "tipsy" as he called it. There was a stumble and the plate fell but not the bottle of wine. *wipes away single tear* He is the wind beneath my drunk ass wing.

~After dinner folks was falling like dominoes. The *itis was kicking in strong. My cousin put his foot in that turkey.

~ Once folk recovered the men planned their shopping while the ladies watched football. Gotta love it!

.

.....and what I'm most Thank Full 4 :

I can leave my purse around my family un-attended and nothing comes up missing.

God Bless Family!!!

Oh Word Negus??!!

.
.
I have no issue hating on little kids and I was really hoping that this kid was going to mess up. BUT he came threw in end and spelled the word correctly. hahaha.... he almost crapped a brick in the process.

News: Buckwheat Lives!!

HOUMA, La. -- A state representative in a runoff election infuriated civil rights leaders after she ended a conversation with the mother of the NAACP's local president by saying, "Talk to you later, Buckwheat."
State Rep. Carla Blanchard Dartez, of Morgan City, acknowledged she made the remark during a Thursday night telephone conversation with Hazel Boykin to thank her for driving voters to the polls.
.
Buckwheat, a black child character in the "Little Rascals" comedies of the 1930s and '40s, is viewed as a racial stereotype demeaning to black people.
.
Hazel Boykin's son, Jerome, is the NAACP's president in Terrebonne Parish. She is well-known as a 1960s civil rights activist, helping to desegregate restaurants and the parish school system.
.
Dartez has represented parts of Terrebonne, St. Mary and Assumption parishes since 1999. She has said she does not intend to drop out of the race.
.
"I made an insensitive comment when speaking with Hazel Boykin, and I have apologized to the Boykin family and publicly for my choice of words," Dartez said in a statement. "I have a strong record of fighting for issues important to the African American community; in fact, I have a 93 percent voting record with the Black Caucus." continue reading
.
* * * * *
.
When first heard about this I was a speechless, it seemed so absurd. As I thought about it I found some words. WTF was the woman thinking? A blackwoman is trying to help her community and she is called BuckWheat. Why didn't Rep. Dartez just say, "Thanks nigger. You were a great help." Calling a black person this is disrepectful pure and simple. This isn't a bullish grey area comment, where Rep. Dartez can say, "well black people say it so I thought it was ok." When black people call some Buckwheat its an insult and they (We- ME) mean that ish. And I don't care that she apologized, she had to apologize to save face. God only knows how long she's been dying to call someone Buck Momofukku Wheat. But I guess I'm supposed to file this under at least you know where she stands.....*counts backwards from 99 to calm down*

Music: Otis Redding

.
Guess what I found while digging through the crates, an Otis Redding throwback "I've been loving you."
.
I have so much love for old school R&B. A time where you really had to have soul and sang to be professional singer. *side-eye T-Pain* Something about this song puts me on pause so that I can soak up all his raw emotion without distraction. Makes you wanna find someone to wake up to. Enjoy the video.
.
p.s. I'm really feeling the black and white.

News: Bye-Bye Black CEO

Black CEOs: A tiny group shrinks more
NEW YORK - It's getting lonelier at the top for black CEOs.
Only four blacks will be left running Fortune 500 companies after Stan O'Neal's abrupt retirement from the top spot at Merrill Lynch & Co. last week and Time Warner Inc. Dick Parsons' announcement Monday that he will retire at the end of the year.
.
That leaves Aylwin Lewis at Sears Holding Corp., Kenneth Chenault at American Express Co., Ronald Williams at Aetna Inc. and Clarence Otis at Darden Restaurants Inc. as the only black chief executives among this list of the nation's largest companies.
.
To some, the departures of O'Neal and Parsons underscore that all CEOs, whatever their race, have a short shelf life.
.
"In the best situations, these are not jobs you hold on to for more than five to seven years," said Alfred Edmond Jr., editor-in-chief of Black Enterprise magazine. "The bulletproof CEOs of the '80s — those days are long gone, even for white men."
.
Twenty years from now, Edmond predicts, there will be double the number of black CEOs, but that will still bring their total to fewer than a dozen. "The numbers are so small that any improvement will seem like a giant leap forward," he said.
.
On his short list are John Thompson, CEO of Symantec Corp., which is just shy of entering the Fortune 500; Ursula M. Burns, president of Xerox Corp., and Don Thompson, president of McDonald's USA at McDonald's Corp.
.
While the numbers now may be dispiriting, "10 or 15 years ago, we couldn't have had this conversation, because there was no one to talk about," Edmond said.

Dating: The Neighbor Boy

As some of you may know already, I'm a little touched in the head. haha. So here's more evidence.

A young man who lives on my street has a crush on me and has asked me out a few time. I always politely decline, probably because he's a CoughNiceGuyCough. Ya'll know that not my type, but moving along.

I drive around the corner onto my street and I'm felling blessed because there is a parking spot waiting for me. I throw my car in reverse to parallel parking, then I notice a raggedy ass Jeep stopped behind me. I do my best fake smile "I'm parking, move you ish" and this woman is just grilling me. And it hits me, this chick is really trying to steal my parking spot while I'm in mid maneuver. WTF.

Just in time neighbor boy shows up, and says, "is this woman giving you a hard time? I got this." Neighbor boy approaches the crazy lady, speaks to hear for 3 seconds and I'm thinking "his ass can't handle ish." So I get out the car to scream on this woman. And you know what he does? HE yells at ME, telling me to get back in the car and park. So before I got back in the car, I looked his ass up-and-down and realized how cute his ass was. Bwhahaha. Pray for me ya'll. Men yelling at me should NOT be a turn on. Why Lawd? Why?

So I kept my spot and now I'm feeling neighbor boy. I love testosterone. (Like Fat Kids love cake). I love a man to not scared to step up and handle his business.

* * * * *

Remember I told you about my co-worker. The one that walks around me in circles (or half circles if I'm seated). Thankfully he stopped doing that, and decided to let me breathe. Well anyway I'm down to my last pair of blue contact lenses (yeah and what?) so I popped in a set of clear ones. I never would have thought this small alteration in my apperance would be such a big deal.

Long story short (I wish he would have given ME the condensed version) he spent 30 minutes trying to convince me that I was insecure, in denial and really didn't like who I'm as as a person. In my best I'm-at-work-so-won't-cuss-you-the-eff-out voice, I let him know my choice to wear colored contacts is not that serious. Some woman wear make-up, wigs whatever and he would never come at them that way, so leave me alone with splash of color. Especially since he was sweating my ass hard when he thought it was natural. Once he realized that I suffering from low self-esteem like he hoped, homeboy tells me I'm conceited. I laughed, rolled my eyes and changed the subject.

Somewhere in the new conversation I forgot that he was a complete jackass, and when he asked me to take him part way home I said ok. I'm mad but glad that I did. On the ride he called me shallow, insecure, a know-it-all, and AGAIN conceited ....but then you know what this negro asked me? Why won't I go on a date with him???? !!!!!! Oh, I had to break it down. NOW he's trying to convince me that he's not a jerk. This went on for 20 minutes. Then he asked me to put the A/C on because he was sweating. It's like 50 degrees outside LOL. Next 20 minutes I stoped listening, so I don't know what he said, but I did ask him to get out my car. He then stayed running his mouth for ANOTHER 20 MINUTES!!!! 60 minutes total.

It's about to get real ackward at the work place.

Music: Trey Song - Can't Help But Wait

Yeah, I decided I'm on a spread love crusade. So here's Trey Song's "Can't Help But Wait"

Hey, ladies. Yeah, YOU!!! Remember there's always some dying for the chance to Love You.

Rants: Black Man Don't Believe It!!

All of a sudden the state of Black men in America has a become a major social issue. Mainly focusing on the way that Black men have failed the Black family. I've listened and read various opinions and I have even twisted up my face at the "numbers".

But today I heard something that pissed me off. I enjoy radio talk shows that focus in African American issues - it's a Sunday highlight for me really. Anyway, as I'm listening I hear one man after another say "I never learned how a man is suppose to maintain a family," or "there wasn't a man around to teach me how to be a man."

These types of statement disturbs my soul. Why because I think it disrespectful and ignorant. Yep, I said. A lot of Black men have used these kinds of statements as a crutch for their neglect of home. If YOU know a man that uses these statements as a crutch, please tell him to STOP. And I'm being dead ass serious.

The male guest on this radio talk show listed all the things they believed could only be taught from a man to a boy. And aside from learning how to shaving, it all sounded like bullish to me. I never learned how to love a woman. I never learned what role a man plays in the house. I never learned how to court a woman and create a sustainable relationship. You maybe reading and seeing these as accurate statements about many Black men's steps into manhood. I Do Not.

If you are a Black boy raised by a Black women you've learned far more than your giving yourself credit for. As a child growing, you see everything. You see your mother wishing for roses on Valentine's Day, or yearning for someone special to ring in the New Year with. You learned what roles a man plays in the house every time your mother went to her second job, or asked someone to help her out with some money until she got paid. Or the time when she's asked you to hold the chair so she could reach sometime up high. Hell, what about the times when mom said, "Baby, I only have two hand." What about the time when mom came home mad because some crude man grabbed at her on the way home - you as a man, learned how to approach a woman and you know what a woman wants to hear. Now the part about maintaining a relationship - if you can maintain friendship with your boys for years, you can maintain a relationship. I know I'm over simplifying because there's sex and emotions in a relationship. But if you have a woman willing to pretend that giving you head in the highlight of her day, you can give that woman a the same level of respect and commitment you give to your friends. Beside your boys ain't blowing you. Or maybe they are? I'm not judging.

Nonetheless, I'm sure you see my point. If Black men where to say they were afraid, anxious or even BRAINWASHED to believe that they can't love black women or raise their children, I'd believe that. But don't say you never learned- It's disrespect for to the Village of Woman that raised you.

Black men stop letting the world paint you with the weak man brush.

p.s. this rant is from the heart. Think of it as your mother cussing you out for bringing home B's when she knows your capable of A's. :O)
